We didn’t need to go far for some top wine tips, as one of our team’s other halves is a rather good London based sommelier! Anita and Lorenzo have kindly pulled together some recommendations definitely worthy of a tasting.
And for a perfect pairing, we’ve matched some of Lorenzo’s top summer wine recommendations with some of Anita’s favourite outdoor home accessories. Read on for some rather tempting tips . . .
1. Billecart Salmon Rose NV, Champagne, France
“Does it get any more summer than a sunny afternoon and rose champagne? For this, you should absolutely try this banging bottle of fizz, from one of the last few family-owned estates in Champagne. This wine reflects on every side what great quality rose sparkling should have, elegance, crispness, fresh stone fruit and lovely rose aromas. Have it nice and cold for maximum enjoyment, or over a cube of ice for total refreshment.”

2. Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna Bianco Superiore 2020, Sicily, Italy
“Want to know what minerality in wine tastes like? Do not look further than this Etna Bianco. This wine comes from one of the last few active volcanoes in Europe, where the grape Carricante cultivated on rich volcanic soil creates this incredible sapid wine, with notes of ripe lemons and grapefruit, an apple blossom like perfume, and a unique smoky note and salinity, both typical of the proximity of the sea and this ancient soils.”
Dream of your next Italian holiday whilst lounging in the comfortable Low Lita Chair and Sofa! Perfect to enjoy a well deserved glass of this interesting wine with friends and family.
3. Errazuriz “Las Pizarras” Chardonnay 2018, Aconcagua, Chile
“From one of the most iconic producers in the “New World”, this Chardonnay comes from one of the coolest areas in the northern part of Chile, Aconcagua Costa. Give a taste of this wine, and you will realise that it will stand with no problem next to the best Chardonnay from France or USA. It is rich, complex, elegant; it will charm you with its fresh peach and apricot-like aromas, and will seduce you with notes of vanilla and lemon curd, but keeping at the same time, a vibrant acidity and toasted brioche scents. Enjoy it slightly chilled, in a large Burgundy glass over some grilled Scottish salmon with some charred asparagus.”

Rich in fruits, such as red cherry and raspberries, it is loaded with a generous and velvety tannin, perfect for a summer BBQ.
